CDCP provider

Dentures, covered by the CDCP

Complete and partial dentures are covered services under the Canadian Dental Care Plan. How much the plan pays depends on your adjusted family net income: patients under $70,000 are covered at 100%, with a co-payment for higher income tiers. Because we typically don't charge the balance-billing difference between the CDCP fee guide and the provincial fee guide, patients approved at 100% coverage often pay $0 out of pocket.

Dentures do need preauthorization from the plan, which we take care of for you. We'll always confirm your exact coverage and any co-payment before treatment begins. Implant-supported dentures and implants themselves are not covered by the CDCP.

Three levels of dentures

We offer three tiers of dentures so you can balance budget, appearance, and how long they last. Here's how they compare.

Economy

Standard Dentures

$1,250 – $1,500 per arch

The most affordable option, made with economy-grade materials for reliable everyday function.

Materials & aesthetics

  • Economy-grade acrylic or resin, or fast-to-fabricate printed resin
  • Single-layer resin teeth with a uniform, less-detailed look
  • Teeth wear down and discolour more quickly over time

Fit & function

  • Basic impressions capture the general shape of your mouth
  • Modest retention that can loosen as gums and bone change
  • Basic bite alignment: works well for softer foods

Fabrication

  • Fewest appointments, often just two or three visits
  • Alginate and PVS impressions, cold-cure processing

Cost & longevity

  • Our most affordable denture, often largely covered for eligible CDCP patients
  • Needs more frequent relines and repairs; lasts about 3 – 5 years
  • Not generally recommended for use with implants

Mid-range

Premium Dentures

$1,500 – $1,750 per arch

A more natural look, better fit, and longer durability than standard dentures.

Materials & aesthetics

  • Heat-cured, impact-resistant acrylic or milled PMMA: stronger and less porous
  • Multi-layered composite teeth with better translucency and natural shading
  • Improved wear and stain resistance for a look that lasts

Fit & function

  • Multi-stage impressions capture more detail for better retention and stability
  • Balanced occlusion for more efficient chewing
  • A more secure feel and clearer speech

Fabrication

  • A few more visits, using digital scanning for accuracy and speed
  • Enhanced lab techniques by experienced denture technicians

Cost & longevity

  • Mid-range investment; insurance may partially cover the cost
  • Occasional relines; lasts about 5 – 7 years
  • A digital file may be kept for easier replacement

Premium

Precision Dentures

$1,850 – $2,100 per arch

Our most natural-looking, best-fitting, and longest-lasting denture.

Materials & aesthetics

  • High-impact, ultra-strong, often hypoallergenic acrylics
  • Nano-ceramic teeth (such as Ivoclar Vivadent or Vita) that closely mimic natural enamel
  • Fully customized shape, size, and shade: often matched to photos or designed digitally

Fit & function

  • Detailed border molding for an excellent, stable fit: often a suction fit
  • Custom occlusion for comfortable chewing of all food types
  • Restores facial support using digital impressions and jaw-tracking technology

Fabrication

  • The most comprehensive process, with more appointments
  • CAD/CAM, injection molding, and protocols such as the Ivoclar BPS system
  • Fabricated by master technicians with specialized training

Cost & longevity

  • Premium investment; insurance may partially cover the cost
  • Occasional relines; lasts about 7 – 12 years
  • A digital file may be kept to help with future replacement
